The Suapolor of the Se (Shai) Traditional Area, King of Kordiabe-Madaam, His Royal Majesty Drolor Bosso Adamtey, has argued that a viable economic opportunity for millennials will expand government’s investment infrastructure.
Speaking at the School of Governance’s Intensive Online programme themed “The Great Reset: Be the Change”, Drolor Bosso Adamtey explained that “people below 25 years currently make over 60 per cent of Africa's population. And it, thus, is important that policies are implemented to ensure that these young ones are trained to become developers and not only managers”.
Although Ghana has made some gains on the World Bank Index on Cost of Doing Business, there have been concerns over the sustainability of the positive impact of these gains on attracting millennials to the investment opportunities in the country.
These investment opportunities mostly locked up in government policies - according to HRM Drolor Bosso Adamtey - must be implemented as a matter of urgency.
“It is time to revisit some of them and make sure changes are made to address the critical concerns and needs of the continent,” he stated.
