"It’s a religion whose chief priest is leading a prayer topic of easing the burden on most parents."
That is the Kumawu District Chief Executive’s description of the Free SHS policy initiated and implemented by the Akuffo Addo led government.
Samuel Addai Agyekum said the Free SHS policy has now become a prayer topic for most Ghanaians led by Chief priest Nana Addo to ease the burden of most parents.
He said the policy has gone beyond politics and Ghanaians hold it in high esteem.
Mr Agyekum revealed this on Nhyira FMs Papa Nyameke on its morning show programmed dubbed, 'Kuro Yi Mu Nsem.'
“Free SHS is a religion. Everyone values it and everyone prays that their children will get to a high position. Everyone prays for sector ministers in charge of free SHS. Free SHS is more than a political talk, it’s a religion”.
Mr. Agyekum says the era of selling properties and going for loans before you can enroll a child in SHS is a thing of the past due to the free SHS.
“School has just reopened and the jhs 2 and shs 2 students are going back to school. Due to lack of money people will be going through all sort of hardship in this pandemic.
He added, “But now everyone prays for Akufo Addo for their dreams to come true. For their dreams to come true they have to vote for Nana Akufo Addo and his MP’S in the 2020, 2024 and 2028 elections and beyond”.
