NPP group vows to help party win Amasaman and Domeabra-Obom seats

Diaspora Patriots in Ghana (DPG), a group affiliated with the New Patriotic Party, has sworn to wrestle the Amasaman and Domeabra-Obom seats from the NDC.

The group has organized door-to-door campaigns in the two constituencies and have promised to continue until the NPP wins both seats.

In an interaction with executives and members of the NPP in Amasaman, the group assured them of their support and their commitment to spreading the good news of the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Director of Diaspora Affairs at the presidency, Akwasi Awua-Ababio said as diasporans who have been appointed in Ghana, it is very important they joined the campaign to ensure a second term for the president.

“We have to prove to everyone that, we don’t just come from abroad and take positions,” he said.

“We will join the campaign and make sure we win the Amasaman seat for the party.”

President of the Diaspora Patriots in Ghana, Prince Sefah, assured executives and members in Amasaman that the group will be involved in all campaign activities of the Party until December.

“DPG members will volunteer in all capacities including being polling agents during the election until victory is handed to the NPP for the first time in Amasaman,” Prince Sefah said.

"It is our aim to deliver the seat to the NPP and we will do it.”

Members of the DPG embarked on a door-to-door campaign in the constituency. The group also donated face masks and hand sanitizers to constituents.

The NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Amasaman constituency, Akwasi Owusu Afrifa, thanked the DPG for their support and said the party is poised to win the seat for the NPP for the first time. Events in Domeabra-ObomThe DPG later joined the people of Domeabra-Obom for events in the constituency.

The president for DPG, Prince Sefah, entreated the constituents to look at the good works of the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Philip Doe and vote for him. He said Philip Doe has built a lot of boreholes for communities in this constituency, this shows how development-oriented he is.

“The NDC has neglected Domeabra-Obom for a long time, it is time to change and vote for Philip Doe,” Sefah said.

Parliamentary candidate, Philip Doe asked the people to give the NPP the chance to prove to them that, they can perform more than the NDC.

“This is an election of records, even as a candidate, I have done far more than the current MP,” he said.

Vote for me and the NPP and we will do more for you.

The DPG donated scores of T-shirts to the Domeabra-Obom NPP and has promised to be a part of the campaign until victory is declared for the NPP.

The Amasaman and the Domeabra Obom constituencies have been NDC seats since 2004. The NPP is determined to win the seats for the first time.
