Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says a pond full of catfish in Etwereso in the Eastern Region is being considered by the Ministry of Tourism to be used as a full tourist facility.
Speaking to Becky in a yet-to-be-aired episode of E Vibes, the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency where the pond is located said some investments are being undertaken to make the place more attractive.
“We have to do some investments here. We have worked with the Tourism ministry, you know they have just done a fund for renovating tourist facilities across the country.
"This is one of those we have put in an application for and our expectation is that once we get that one up and running, we will have an opportunity to have at least a viewing deck so that people can sit, some activities can go on whiles we have a good view of what is going on here,” he said.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah also revealed how his constituency helped shape him.
"Right from childhood, my dad would bring us home a lot of the time, we had the opportunity to interact with the chiefs, linguists and elders and you pick up the proverbs and the local stories,” he added.

The programme will air on JoyNews November 21 at 8:30 am. It will also be broadcast on Joy Prime this Sunday, November 22 at 10:30 am.
E Vibes is a weekly programme that delves into the background of the country’s celebrated personalities who are doing tremendous work in their chosen field of work cutting across sectors.
