Residents of Willow Court Estate have organised a one-day community fair at Willow Court Estate near Pokuasi in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The fair which was the first of its kind in the community afforded patrons the opportunity to do their Christmas shopping at their convenience.
The fair which attracted over 500 visitors witnessed a display of wide range of products such as clothings, educational materials, assorted drinks and biscuits.
However one of the latest books in town titled: The Wish List which was authored by the MTN Senior Corporate Communications Manager Georgina Fiagbenu was on display.
Speaking to the media during the fair CEO of Kube Hene company, Elorm Awadzi who doubles as a key organiser said there are many entrepreneurs operating in the community whose products and services are not known which looks they are operating in the dark.
He said they decided to come up with the fair which serves as a platform to showcase products and services and also to offer an opportunity for networking.
Ruth, proprietress of Chiremba Stitches commended the organisers for coming out this idea to promote business in the community.
She said it was a great opportunity that enables her to showcase her products and also had interactions with a number of patrons.
On her part, Edna Antwi Owusu, a vendor said the event has been beneficial, according to her she made good sales, a lot of contacts and exchanged business cards.
“They know what I sell now, so anytime they need my service they can easily call for orders and I’ll deliver,” said Edna Antwi Owusu.
