The University of Ghana has initiated processes to find a successor for to the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu who is due retirement on July 31, 2021.
So far, the search committee has received applications from seven candidates.
They are the current Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development, Prof. Felix Ankomah Asante Professor, the Director, Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), Prof. Peter Quartey; an Institute for Population Professor, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, the Provost, College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori; the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Godfred Alufar Bokpin, and the Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Daniel Wesley Lund.
The search committee has put out a notice asking for relevant information that may facilitate its work.
Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu replaced Prof Ernest Aryeetey as Vice-Chancellor in 2016.
