The Supreme Court on Monday, February 15 heard a new application by the petitioner in the ongoing election petition, seeking to reopen his case.
John Mahama who closed his case on Monday, February 8 after presenting three witnesses for cross-examination, raised objections when lawyers for the Electoral Commission refused to call any witness or induce evidence.
After his objection was dismissed by the seven-member panel of judges hearing the case, Mr Mahama filed a new application to reopen his case so he can subpoena the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
The apex court heard the application by lead counsel for John Mahama, Tsatsu Tsikata today.
