Three Hills Ghana Limited, importers of some six rice products including, Facebook rice, Valentino Rice, Versace Rice, My Google rice, Gucci Best Choice and Premium Chanel rice have allayed the fears of consumers, indicating that its rice products are certified by the Food and Drugs Authority.
Some consumers have earlier raised concerns about the safety of these unfamiliar rice brands in the markets.
The Food and Drugs Authority in responding to a question by Joy Business said Google rice, Gucci Best choice and Premium Channel rice have all been registered by the authority, but were silent on the other three brands.
However, Managing Director of Three Hills Ghana Limited, Raymond Awude, says the company has the approval of the Food and Drugs Authority for the importation of all the six rice brands.
According to him, its brands of rice are among the best on the market.
