CAL Bank has announced a dividend of 11 pesewas per share to its shareholders.
This will however be subject to approval at the upcoming virtual Annual General Meeting.
The dividend is in respect to the financial year ending December 2020.
All shareholders registered in the books of the bank at the close of business on 6th May, 2021 will qualify for the final dividend.
In view of the foregoing, the ex-dividend date has been set as 4th May, 2021. Consequently, an investor purchasing CAL Bank shares before this date will be entitled to the final dividend.
However, an investor buying the shares on or after 4th May, 2021 will not be entitled to the final dividend.
The final dividend will be paid from Wednesday, 9th June, 2021.
CAL registered 13.7% profit in 2020
CAL Bank recorded a 13.7% year-on-year growth in profit to GH275 million in 2020.
This was influenced largely by non-funded transactions, which shot up from GH27 million in December 2019 to GHc130 million in December 2019.
The bank’s earnings from net interest income and fees and commissions declined because it placed embargo on loans and advancements when covid-19 pandemic began.
