Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has appealed to all Muslims across the country to dedicate this year’s Ramadan to asking Allah to heal the world of Covid-19
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Minister said Muslims should "commit the nation into the hands of Allah to help us overcome this pandemic that has plagued the country and the world at large.”
While wishing all Muslims the very best as they start the 30-day fasting and prayer season, Mr Kum urged participants to reflect on the many blessings from Allah.
“I know this is a time for families and loved ones to celebrate together but due to the time we find ourselves in, it is impossible to do that."
“I use this occasion to remind us all to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols to keep ourselves and families safe,” he advised."
The Ahanta West legislator said he looks forward to “a successful end of the Ramadan and the festivities that would follow.”

STATEMENT ON RAMADAN BY HON. EBENEZER KOJO KUM (MP), MINISTER FOR CHIEFTAINCY AND RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS
I would like to wish the National Chief Imam and all Muslims across the country the very best as they start this year's Ramadan. This is the time to reflect on the many blessings that Allah has gifted humanity the past years, as well as a time for intense devotion, reflection and also offer support for each other.
May we use this period of fasting and prayers to commit the nation into the hands of Allah to help us overcome this pandemic that has plagued the country and the world at large. I know this is a time for families and loved ones to celebrate together but due to the time we find ourselves in, it is impossible to do that. I use this occasion to remind as all to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols to keep ourselves and families safe.
I look forward to a successful end of the Ramadan and the festivities that would follow.
May Allah bless us all, Ramadan Mubarak.
