Nigerian Musician, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known in Showbiz circles as Burna Boy, has been adjudged the Best International Act, at the 2021 BET Awards ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The ‘Ye’ hitmaker beat five other artistes, including his colleague Nigerian Wizkid and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz to win the award.
Others nominated in the category are Aya Nakamura (France), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (United Kingdom), Young T & Bugsey (United Kingdom) and Youssopha (France).
This is the third time the “African Giant” has taken home the award. He has won it two consecutive times in 2019 and 2020.
This comes weeks after he received his Grammy plague for winning Best Global Album, which he won with his critically acclaimed 2020 LP ‘Twice As Tall’.
