A senior lecturer and a veteran photographer with the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), Kwamena Aboagye is dead.
Mr Opeele, as he was popularly called, died on Wednesday at the 37 Military Hospital. He turned 52 last month.
A source close to the family said the photographer was last seen on NAFTI campus on Monday when he complained about feeling unwell.

Reacting to his death, many friends described him as a very affable person.
He is also believed to have trained some of the top professional photographers and filmmakers in the country.
Through his initiative, the global camera manufacturing company, Canon entered a strategic partnership with NAFTI to train many young people in various specialised areas in photography.

Paying tribute to Mr Opeele, Katie Louise Simmonds, an official of Canon posted on her Facebook page "I can’t believe I am writing this... and I do so with a very heavy heart.
"To Kwamena Aboagye's dear family, words cannot express my sadness and upset right now. Good people make their exit from this planet faster than evil people.
"Kwamena was a phenomenal man, he touched many people’s lives without leaving a space for doubt in our hearts including mine. I will remain grateful to God for the lifetime opportunity to meet you and the kindness, joy, laughter, knowledge and care he shared with me. I will deeply miss you, Kwamena and you will be remembered dearly and hold a place in my heart."
