One hundred students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have benefited from digital and entrepreneurial skills.
The initiative dubbed, “Career Café”, is providing opportunities for students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to harness their potential for job options.
The maiden edition of Career Café, a concept initiated by an NGO, Focus Foundation, will provide students, opportunities in skills development programmes.
According to the Head of Communication Design Department at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Dr. Ralitsa Diana Debrah, the hub was inspired by the Sustainable Development Goal 8 - Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all.
“The digital media event, focused on entrepreneurship and digital leadership and media-photography as career options for the youth.
“Our goal for this programme was to help young professionals in any discipline to develop their potential in digital media and prepare for a digital future,” Dr. Debrah said.
The NGO promises more skills training to curb unemployment.
“It is our hope that we would organise more of such programmes in partnership with stakeholders, to train and capacitate the youth for a lifelong career for decent work and a digital future,” she emphasised.
