The High Commissioner to Valletta Malta, Barbara Akuokor Benisa has pledged the continued support and collaboration of Ghana on issues of mutual concerns and benefits to both states.
In her speech on the occasion of Malta’s 57th Independence Day, the diplomat mentioned that Covid-19 has forced Ghana and Malta to halt its bilateral agreement.
She was, however, hopeful that the air bilateral agreement between the two countries will come to fruition as soon as possible.
“I wish to assure you of the commitment of government and people of Ghana to a continued cooperation and collaboration on issues of mutual concerns and benefits to both states which will be found in the framework of the permanent Joint Commission of Cooperation (JCC) and other memoranda of understanding signed by both countries,” she said on Tuesday.
While joining the Maltese to commemorate their National Day, Madam Benisa said the date marks a great day in the history of both nations, as Ghana’s first President and Prime Minister, Dr Kwame Nkrumah was born.
