Digital Creator, Kobby Spiky Nkrumah has waded into the argument of whether or not numbers do lie in today’s digital world.
He shared informed thoughts and advised content creators to be consistent with what they post on social media, to enable them to gain real followers.
Spiky, who also hosts Geek Squad on JoyFM, buttressed Artiste Manager, Bulldog’s assertion that indeed numbers do lie, contrary to popular belief that they don’t.
He revealed that many artistes, including some of the country's favourite mainstream artistes do not have real followers on social media.
If you go deep into it, “there is data that suggests that some of their followers are actually bots or fake accounts”, he said.
The opinionated techie confirmed that the number of likes on an artiste’s social media post is sadly not always a true representation of their number of followers.
He opined that there are a whole lot of factors that affect a post on social media with inconsistency playing a major role.
Kobby Spiky believes that if one is not consistent in posting a particular genre of content on social media, followers lose interest.
“… there are forty thousand contents happening per second, what’s to say that something won’t take my attention away from you”, he said.
He advised content creators to stay dedicated and consistent with the content they post, in order to gain and maintain real followers who in effect mirror post reactions.
