The Multimedia Group, in collaboration with the Ayawaso Central Ghana Health Service, will from Monday, November 22, set up a tent at the JoyFM car park for those who are yet to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
This exercise is in accordance with government's directive to ensure that all those attending public events in December are vaccinated.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture announced that patrons attending events during the Christmas season will be required to show proof of their vaccination.
“We want to keep you and your siblings and your family alive because if we should come together at a particular place, especially indoor events, and we do not put some checks and balances in place, we’re likely to have challenges after December,” the Deputy Tourism Minister, Mark Okraku Mantey, said in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A to Z on Saturday.
According to the GM Sales and Marketing at the Multimedia Group, Max Fugar, the primary objective is to give an opportunity to all those who intend to attend our events in December to get vaccinated. It is also to encourage the unvaccinated to do so.
The ongoing exercise will end on Friday.
The tent will be up and running at 10 am every morning.
