Subscribers want telcos to introduce a much better way of re-registering SIM cards as long queues characterise the exercise at various centres across the country.
Some of them told Joy News that they cannot leave their work and other things to spend a long time in queues.
On January 4, many trooped in to have their existing SIM cards re-registered in line with the directive from the Communication Ministry.
At the Madina Zongo Junction in Accra, many subscribers stood in queues for several hours before being attended to.
There are also reports of similar situations at the Accra Newtown office of some of the telcos.
"This could be done in a much better way because we cannot waste time in queues just to re-register our SIM cards," one of them said.
Some individuals have also taken to social media platforms to express their displeasure over the development.
The Ghana card registration was hell for many Ghanaians. To date, many have not received their cards.

The re-registration of SIM cards officially kicked off on October 1, 2021.
The exercise which is in accordance with the Subscriber Identity Module Registration Regulations, 2011, LI 2006 is to curb SIM Boxing and other criminal activities perpetrated by fraudsters using fake SIM cards and also to facilitate E-education, among others.
The Ghana Identification card is the only acceptable identification card for the ongoing registration exercise.
The exercise is expected to end on March 31, 2022.
According to the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation, unregistered SIM cards after the deadline will be deactivated.
