Three University Colleges are set to be awarded a Presidential Charter.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the President dated March 3, 2022, Methodist University College, Presbyterian University College and Catholic University College have been given the President’s approval to award degrees.
The statement signed by the Secretary of the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante urged the Ministry of Education to “please take the necessary steps to prepare their respective Presidential Charters for the signature of the President”.
In 2020, Pentecost University College in Accra and All Nations University College in Koforidua were given the approval to confer their own degrees and diplomas on graduates.
This followed a presentation of Presidential Charters to the two institutions by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
