The National Lottery Authority (NLA) will from 8th March, 2022 make instant payments to winners of 'small amounts' after its live draws.
This forms part of efforts by the Authority to enhance the playing experience for its patrons, while reducing the wait period for payment of win amounts.
In a statement, it said persons with payments to the tune of ¢1,200 or less can redeem their cash instantly after a draw via USSD code *389*1000#.
To further boost the payment of wins, the NLA will also set up Prize Payment Centers at its Head Office and all its Regional and District Offices nationwide for the payment of wins by the end of March.
The Authority has between December 2021 and March 2022 also paid outstanding wins to the tune of ¢10.5 million and is seeking to clear all arrears by 30th March, 2022.
It thanked its cherished patrons and stakeholders for keeping faith with the Authority.
The Authority reiterated that it remains committed to its mandate to create moments of hope and happiness through exciting lottery games and to generate revenue for national development.
It urged customers to reach the Authority via 0266-087-966 or 0266-087-946.
