Rapper Kwaw Kese took to social media on Monday, March 14, to remember his late manager, Fennec Okyere who passed away in 2014.
In a letter to Fennec posted on Instagram, Kwaw Kese stated that he has endured a lot, following the death of his manager.
He claimed that even people they assisted have turned their backs on him paying him back with hatred.
“Pls don’t let our enemies feel victorious, the day we’ll get to know your killers is the day my heart will rejoice. I love you forever. Your brother, Kwaw,” the Abodam crooner wrote.
The post was accompanied by a picture of Kwaw Kese with Fennec and Radio/TV personality KOD.
Fennec Okyere was murdered on Thursday, March 13, 2014, by unknown assailants at his Manet Gardens residence on Spintex Road. He died at age 31.
Eight years after his death, the killers of Fennec have not been caught.
About a month after the late artiste manager's death, Bulldog, also an artiste manager, was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) on Thursday, April 10, 2014 as the lead suspect in the murder.
The CID claimed the manager, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, was alleged to have threatened to kill Fennec.
An Accra Central District Court in January, 2018, cleared Bulldog of all murder charges and set him free.
However, Kwaw Kese was unhappy with the way the case was handled by the Ghana Police Service.
“Even the prosecutors were not going to court. I believe our security system is very weak,” a very disappointed Kwaw Kese told Lexis Bill in an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM in 2018.
Asked if he believed Bulldog was complicit in the murder of Fennec, he said, “I can’t say Bulldog is, but he is the prime suspect, so at least the way they dealt with him was not satisfactory.”
