On Wednesday, April 13, in a majority 5-2 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the Assin North MP can no longer perform parliamentary duties.
This is until the determination of the substantive case filed against Mr James Gyakye Quayson at the apex court.
Following the court's ruling, former President John Mahama in a Facebook post said the order is a deliberate display of disrespect to the country’s democracy.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated that it would lead Mr Quayson to seek a review of the apex court's ruling.
Today on Newsfile, host, Samson Lardy Anyenini and his panelists discussed whether the court's ruling is indeed a travesty of justice.
Also, the show enabled the panelists to determine whether State-Owned Enterprises should be privatised or otherwise due to their failure to break even and make profit.
