Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Ghana, Daniel Kojo Owusu has urged Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and business leaders to take advantage of digitalisation to expand their operations and also connect with multinational companies.
According to him, Ghanaian businesses can only be globally competitive if business owners pursue digital transformational agenda.
To enable Ghanaian businesses connect to global platforms, Mr. Owusu pointed out that it is important for business owners to demonstrate high level of integrity to create trust.

“We need to change our mindset around learning and leading. What got you here won’t get you there (Nokia). There are now new levels of collaboration across various boundaries because of the constant changing business environment”, he said adding that “ businesses must promote digitally enabled innovation to speed up the rate of Ghana’s digital transformation at all levels”.

Touching on the Deloitte Global Research on Digital Leadership, Mr. Owusu said 80% of employees believe their organisation needs to find new leaders to succeed in the digital age.
“Only 20% feel they have the type of leaders who have the capabilities necessary to lead them in a digital environment”, he said adding that “74% of 1,254 global business executives state that they have a digital strategy but only 15% believe they have the necessary capabilities to execute on the strategy”.
He spoke at this year’s edition of the Ghana CEOs Summit in Accra.
