The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women-in-Forex has advised the youth to expand their reach for engagement to build their work experience.
Gifty Annor-Sika Asantewaa stated that this is especially true in a technology age where career spaces keep advancing.
According to her, doing this is very important and paramount in everyone’s life “because it makes your career journey less stressful.”
“You don’t even have to wait till you finish senior high school (SHS) and get to the university before you start internships," she told Rev. Erskine on Y107.9FM’s YLeaderboard Series.
She added, "You can do that when you’re still in your High School because experience is key now.”
Gifty Annor-Sika Asantewaa said beyond getting the experience and the skill set, one also has to know how to deal with people.
“You need to know how to relate with others in terms of customer service and personal relationships. Truth is, these are some of the things you have to learn beyond when you’re supposed to have an official job,” she said.
She added that most of these are the key things that are not really emphasised, but are very important and should be “taken seriously if you want to excel in your career.”
