Registration is ongoing for the 2022 edition of the Ghana DJ Clinic slated for October 15 at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.
The programme is facilitated by the Merqury Republic, organiser of the annual Ghana DJ Awards. Running under the theme, 'Reimagine Your Career', it forms part of activities connected to the awards.
The clinic is aimed to empower DJs and create networking opportunities for the participants. In 2021, the event focused on female DJs and included masterclasses on music production and voice-over recording.
The speakers expected to grace the 2022 event include brand and marketing expert Nana Yaa Amoah-Owusu, Musicians Union of Ghana acting president Bessa Simons, DJ and music producer Frank ‘Master Que’ Ofori Nyarko and The Multimedia Group digital experience lead Kobby ‘Spikey’ Nkrumah and others.

The workshop is open to emerging and established DJs alike. Interested individuals need to register to participate and although registration is free, there are limited seats available.

Hence, registration is, therefore, on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested participants can register here.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Ghana DJ Awards have been scheduled for November in Accra.

Now in their 10th year, the awards aim to boost the creative economy by empowering DJs and other creatives in Ghana through capacity building, support and reward for excellence.
“The Ghana DJ Awards came to shape the DJ culture in Ghana and is a platform for bolstering music professionals locally,” Ghana DJ Awards CEO Merqury Quaye told Music In Africa 2021. “We are working hard to increase the value of the awards.”
