Security Analyst, Adib Saani says politics in Ghana must be about the trading of ideas and not the flexing of muscles.
According to him, the level of acrimony associated with recent politicking in Ghana has the potential of eroding the democratic gains chalked.
Speaking to Prime Morning Host, Roselyn Felli Tuesday, he indicated that, "Politics is a battle of ideas, not a battle of muscles."
His comment comes on the back of the shooting incident that characterised the recently held NDC National Youth and Women's Organiser Conference in Cape Coast.
Four individuals were injured in the process.
Mr. Saani wants members of the various political parties to abide by the rules governing their internal elections and stop engaging in activities that cause mayhem.
"So there’s the need for them to abide by the rules and not to engage the services of these boys who are just coming to disrupt the whole process," he added.
The Security Analyst also suggested that the law enforcement agencies be well equipped to enable them discern and take decisive decisions in maintaining order at all times.
