Manhyia North MP, Akwasi Konadu is demanding justice in the murder of Kwabena Azure, a resident of the Krofrom community.
Speaking to David Akuetteh on Luv-In-The-Morning on Luv FM,on Monday, the MP charged residents to assist the Police with information to help arrest the perpetrators to prevent further reprisal attacks.
“The reprisal attacks will continue if we fail to give information to the Police to get these criminals arrested,” he said.
Kwabena Azure was subjected to several machete slashes by unknown assailants and died upon arrival at the hospital.
Some armed men, suspected to be friends of the deceased, allegedly looted and set a five-bedroom house on fire in what is believed to be a revenge attack.
While describing the violent acts as horrendous, Akwasi Konadu assured residents of his support in resolving the impasse as soon as possible to eliminate fear and panic in the community.
He said residents should boldly name the perpetrators without fear of being attacked.
“I want to assure any resident in Krofrom that nothing will happen to him or her if they come forward with information,” he assured.
The MP further entreated all residents of Krofrom to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity they witness to the Police.
The Police have also indicated that investigations are still ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
