Ghana’s leading fashion retail brand, AHA Brands has outdoored Ah-scent, a perfumery line as its most recent addition to its collection of high-end fashion brands. The brand was unveiled at a short ceremony at the AHA Brands Corporate Office on the Boundary Road at East Legon on Tuesday 7th February 2023.
Touted as a fresh, unique addition to the fragrance options on the local market, Ah-scent will be seen by many fashion aficionados and customers as an important jigsaw piece towards AHA Brands’ quest to creating a full house of fashion items.

In a brief interview at the launch ceremony, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AHA Brands, Maame Esi Acquah Taylor explained that Ah-scent’s launch is in line with AHA Brands’ vision to become the number one-stop shop for all fashion and beauty items.
“I am very excited that this day is finally here. We have worked quietly on this for years and I am very happy that we finally get to share this with the world. Our dream is to be the premiere full-service fashion and beauty retail brand in Africa, so we’re just getting started. Ah-scent gets us one step closer to completing the full circle. We are inspired by the satisfaction of our customers to keep on innovating for them,” she explained.

Quizzed on how she expects a local brand to compete with major perfume brands on the local market, CEO Maame Esi Acquah explained her product had the quality to compete with any foreign brand.
"Inasmuch I believe we can build our local economy by patronising local brands, I believe more in giving customers value for their money. That is why we have developed this product to be as good as their European and American contemporaries. So in choosing a local brand, you are not sacrificing quality. You’re getting better or at least equal quality. I believe that is the more sustainable way of pushing for patronage of local brands.”

For a start, Ah-scent launches with ten different fragrances all inspired by the vibrant, aromatic scents of nature ranging from wild to sweet and all in between.
The fragrances – Shidaa, Sikiri, Melor, Phanti, Shanti, Escobar, Lure, Nzule, Cabo Corso, Rana – are all named in tribute to Ghana’s unique cultural diversity, taking inspiration from names from all four corners of the Motherland.
According to AHA Brands, Ah-Scent has been uniquely designed to withstand the full rigors of the tropical weather and keep its users basking in a perfumed aura all day long.
Following the launch, customers can find the products in any AHA shop at the Accra Mall, West Hills Mall, the Achimota Mall, or the corporate head office on Boundary Road at East Legon.
