Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, has named a 25-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola later this month.
Ghana faces Angola in two games in the upcoming international window with a spot at next's AFCON up for grabs. The first leg of the encounter is scheduled for Thursday, March 23 with the second leg coming off four days later.
In his first call-ups, Hughton has included Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru and Patrick Kpozo in his team with Baba Rahman and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku missing out on a spot.
Jojo Wollacott, who missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to injury also returns to the team with Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Ibrahim Danlad being dropped.
Edmund Addo, who had also been absent from the team in recent times has been given a recall for the tie against the Palancras.
