Classical music- the music produced in, or rooted in the traditions of Western liturgical and secular music, encompasses a broad period from roughly the 11th century to present times the central norms of this tradition became codified between 1550 and 1900, which is known as the common practice period.
The term "classical music" did not appear until the early 19th century, in an attempt to "canonize" the period from Johann Sebastian Bach to Beethoven as a golden age. The earliest reference to "classical music" recorded by the Oxford English Dictionary is from about 1836.
Classical Lover's Show has kept its stance as the nation's number one radio programme for the elite and the middle class to create a serene, calm and sober soul-searching atmosphere.
The programme has won the admiration of many who understand how it serves as a therapy in awakening their hidden thoughts.
The Classical Lover's Show provides a high quality experience which is able to communicate many levels of meaning through tonal, rhythmical, emotional and structural content of the pieces.
According to host Jeffery, the meaning may be experienced by each listener in a different way, from simple rhythmic or tonal pleasantness to mathematical amazement to deeply felt emotions.
