Ghana international, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu, was on target in his first game for Chinese side Wuhan Three Towns as they defeated Shandong Taishan to win the 2023 Super Cup.
The Ghanaian scored after just 10 minutes into his official debut for the club to give them an early lead over their rivals.
The 24-year-old headed in a cross from the byline after a good play from his team down the left side of their attack to register his first goal for the club.
His goal was also enough to give them an advantage heading into the break. 11 minutes after the recess, Wuhan Three Towns doubled their lead through Pengfei Xie.
The home team of the day held on to protect their lead despite Aziz coming off in the 90th minute of the game.
The Ghanaian is on loan with the Chinese side after a permanent move to Egyptian side Al Ahly broke down during the winter transfer window.
