Presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, says Christians need to be obedient and humble in their fellowship with Christ.
According to him, it is unto Christians to emulate the obedience and humility of Christ Jesus who remained “obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
He noted that the downfall of many a Christian has been as a result of pride and arrogance.

He explained that pride has prevented some Christians from giving their all to their fellowship with Christ and thus their inability to pay the full price for Christ’s service to mankind.
“The cross is a symbol of obedience and humility. And resistance to instruction is a symptom of madness,” he said.

Speaking at the Lighthouse Chapel’s Good Friday Miracle Service held at the Black Star Square, Accra, he had also urged Christians to “deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow him [Jesus]” just as Christ had instructed.
According to him, to be a true believer, one must be ready and willing to face the persecution and sacrifices that comes with the station instead of just chasing goodwill messages.

“There is a price. People are not prepared to pay the price. There's a price to be the ministry. There's a price to pay to be a Christian,” he said.
“The same price that is given to you is the same price that is given to me. There is a price for everything. And the cross is the price for your whole life…He wants your whole life. He doesn't want just part of you.”
