It was a historic moment for the UK, the commonwealth and millions around the world who witnessed the coronation of the New British Monarch, King Charles III.
The event is the first for many since it was last oragnised 70 years ago.
In Accra, the British High Commission organised a number of events to celebrate this historic moment and reflect the theme of the new era; Community, diversity Sustainability and Youth. Â

On coronation Day, the UK in Ghana community, partners of the FCDO, together with their friends and family gathered for a viewing party and picnic at the residence of the High Commissioner.

The High Commissioner also held a dinner with chiefs and traditional leaders to celebrate royalty in Ghana as well.

His Majesty’s government is also particular about the youth and has continuously supported many young people in Ghana in diverse ways.
The young leaders’ dinner was to bring such persons together to hear some of the remarkable stories of change and provide a platform for networking and collaboration.Â


There was also a thanksgiving service to thank God for the New King and head of the church.
