It’s been quite the year for our Bank Roller, who did a lot of donations to some football clubs, supervised the club to move from 7th position to 4th position at the end of the season, donated to the Black Princesses camp and continuously helped them win the Wafu-B Cup, supervised the transfer of 5 Berry Ladies FC players to continue their football career abroad and helped with the management of our academy side, Valued Girls Academy.
Organizers of the prestigious Ghana Football Awards earlier announced a wide range of activities to celebrate this fifth anniversary. The theme for the fifth edition was said to be “The Festival of Football” and the originators of the scheme, AE Media, said ‘this year’s edition of the Ghana Football Awards will be a celebration of Ghana’s rich football heritage.”
As part of the big celebration, a litany of exciting activities has been earmarked. They include a trophy tour in Accra and Kumasi and a football forum.
Reflecting on the progress of the awards scheme over the years, Gifty Oware-Mensah, in 2021, led Berry Ladies Football Club to be nominated as Best Female Team of the Year 2021, Most vibrant club on social media 2021, Best Ghana Club CEO during the Ghana Football Awards 2021 alongside clubs like Hearts, Kotoko, Olympics, Legon city and Ridge city as the only Female club.
