Ghana international Jojo Wollacott has joined Scottish League side Hibernian Football Club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The goalkeeper signs a three-year deal with the club which will see him stay until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Wollacott joins the club after just a season with Charlton Athletic which saw him end the season as a second-choice goalkeeper following a finger injury he picked prior to the start of the World Cup.
The 26-year-old started 16 League One matches for the Addicks during the 2022/23 season keeping four clean sheets before his injury.
However, the former Swindon Town shot-stopper will now play in the Scottish league after completing a transfer.
With his move to Hibernian, Wollacott will play under Lee Johnson, who he worked with during his time at Bristol City and the gaffer is delighted to reunite with the goalkeeper again.
“He’s athletic, brave, and confident and, with big competitions coming up, it’s important we’re strong in the goalkeeping department,” said Johnson.
“He’s a player I’ve known for some time and it’s great to see that he’s starting to fulfil his potential. He now has over 100 games under his belt and has played on the international stage with Ghana.”
The Black Stars goalkeeper will be a part of Hibernian’s European campaign as they are set to feature in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.
