Award-winning rapper, Lyrical Joe, has added yet another jewel to his birthday release catalogue on 5th August 2023.
As a special gift to his fans, the maverick lyricist outdoors a power-packed song loaded with explosive bars annually on his birthday.
In this year’s episode, the rapper tackles a ‘bouquet of issues’ clouded in witty lines and expressions.
He responds to the omission of his name in lists of top rappers in Ghana while throwing shades at fellow rapper Amerado.
The rapper also shares his opinion on ‘girls who belong to the street’ and why they will never have a future with him.
Lyrical Joe birthed the concept in 2017 receiving plaudits from the rap community both home and abroad.
Every year, music lovers look out for the continuation of the ‘5th August’ series and the rapper hasn’t disappointed.
According to Lyrical Joe, the aim is to release a record-setting masterpiece that will define an era with good lyrical content and good production.
The 5th edition of the ‘5th August’ series helped Lyrical Joe win the ‘Best Rap Performance’ award at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
