On Saturday, August 12, 2023, the ever-serene Best Western Plus Hotel in Nungua, played host to over a hundred single people who attended the Joy FM Family Forum.
The singles breakfast meeting dubbed ‘Becoming Mr. & Mrs’, was put together by Joy FM’s flagship family show, Home Affairs, hosted by Edem Knight-Tay, who doubles as the Programmes Manager of the station.
‘Becoming Mr. & Mrs’, was aimed at assembling and creating a relaxed atmosphere for young people who are planning to make a life-long commitment, while discussing and educating them on all one needs to know about marriage. The discussions ranged from health and well-being to finance, communication, sex and intimacy, abuse, unrealistic expectations, faith and religion, technology, among others.
The family forum took off with a welcome address from the organizer of the event, Edem Knight-Tay, who reiterated the essence of thorough education and preparedness prior to making that all-important decision. On the panel were renowned relationship coaches and counsellors including Lawyer Kweku Yamoah Paintsil, Mrs. Theresa Wiafe-Asante a.k.a Mama T, Ariel ‘The Wellness Coach’, Kobina Atta-Bedu and PG Sebastain.
