Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Ogum, said he is very confident that his team will improve after they were held to a goalless draw in their season opener at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors battled with newly-promoted side, Heart of Lions, with the game ending in a goalless draw on Saturday.
The incidence that has raised questions was the Heart of Lions goal that was disallowed after a controversial offside call.
Despite failing to score, Ogum is very optimistic that his team will hit the ground running in their subsequent matches.
“So, to me what I saw today is good of individual players. But then we can do better. It’s good, better, best. So, what I saw was good. I’m okay with it.
“I don’t have any doubt about this team. As the league progresses, we will get better in the offensive and defense.”
Asante Kotoko will make a trip to play Bibiani GoldStars in their next game.
