DJ Azonto has stated that his appearance at the 10th edition of Ghana DJ Awards made him famous.
In an interview on 'U Say Weytin', the DJ-turned-musician explained how his fame rose after his performance at the 10th edition of the Ghana DJ Awards on the 5th of November 2022 at the Silver Star Towers in Accra.
According to him, he earned a spot in the Twitter worldwide trends.
“I trended today more than the day I performed at the Ghana DJ Awards last year. Do you know it’s the Ghana DJ Awards that made me a star.”
DJ Azonto won the ‘DJ Song of the Year’ with his Fa No Fɔm hit song at the last edition of the Ghana DJ Awards.
DJ Azonto, who is known for his controversial looks, has come under serious criticism for his current look as he performed at a certain event where he was seen wearing a bikini and dancing to his new song, One Prayer, which features Lilwin.
Following the remarks on social media, he explained that he has bipolar disorder, hence the reason for his actions.
“I am bipolar and Abena Korkor is my friend. Because I have that disorder, sometimes I don’t know what I'm doing.”
The 11th edition of the Ghana DJ Awards which is themed the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards will come off on the 25th of November.
