The Vice Chancellor of the Presbyterian University, Ghana, Prof. John Ofosu-Anim has been inducted into office.
Prof. Ofosu-Anim becomes the first Vice-Chancellor of the university after it received the Presidential Charter making it a full-fledged University in August 2022.

In his address, Prof Ofosu-Anim called for innovation-led education that embraces digital inclusion and takes full advantage of the current digital evolution.
This he believes will facilitate teaching and learning and produce graduates who will be relevant in today’s job market and inspire entrepreneurship.
“Innovation is the engine that drives progress, and Presbyterian University, Ghana must be at the forefront of innovation in everything we do.

“This means embracing new technologies, exploring new ideas and approaches, and fostering a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship.”
He also called for more collaborations with industry and academia to improve research and develop curriculums which will support the growth of industry and policy development.
“We will also partner with businesses, government agencies, and other organisations to leverage their expertise and resources, creating new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.”

“I call out to our alumni and friends of Presbyterian University, Ghana and our hardworking staff to join hands with us on this journey,” he added.
He pledged his commitment to improve the infrastructural development of the university by forging partnerships with the business community and government agencies.
The Chancellor of PUG, Rt. Rev. Prof. J.O.Y. Mante, who doubles as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, charged the Vice-Chancellor to lead the University to fulfil its anticipated goals, while pledging the Church’s unwavering support to the University.

The Induction was attended by the Chancellor and moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante, the Chairman of the University Council, His Lordship Justice Prof. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Kotey, staff and students of the students of the university as well as traditional leaders.
The Presbyterian University, Ghana was founded in 2003 and boasts of five campuses in Tema, Kwahu, Akropong, Agogo and Kumasi with a wide range of tailored undergraduate, graduate as well as short courses to develop students for the job market.
