Ghana forward, Kamal Sowah, says he is convinced his dream of playing in the English Premier League will come to pass.
Despite being on the books of Leicester City from 2018 to 2021, the 23-year-old never got the chance to feature for the first team.
After loan stints at OH Leuven, Sowah was eventually transferred to fellow Belgium Pro League side, Club Brugge, where he didn't hit the heights he would have wanted.
After a mixed 2022/23 season, he signed for Standard Liege on a season-long loan to reunite with coach Carl Hoefkens, who he worked with briefly at Club Brugge.
Sowah is having a dream start to life at Standard Liege, scoring two goals in five league games.
Speaking on his dream of playing in the English Premier League, Sowah said: "Don't all Africans, all Ghanaians do it? And yes, I still believe I have it in me. Otherwise I would have stopped playing football already," he told newspaper De Zondag.
On his move to reunite with Hoefkens at Standard Liege, he added: "I immediately saw that I still had the same bond with Hoefkens. That was all I needed. I am playing football again and I love Liège.”
