ASA Savings and Loans, a leading non-bank financial institution in collaboration with Nsuta Health Center in Nsuta in the Eastern Region, has screened traders at Asante Mampong to mark this year’s breast cancer awareness month.
The exercise was aimed at creating awareness on the cancer to ensure early detection and treatment to avoid untimely deaths.
The Asante Mampong branch manager of the financial institution, James Owusu said the significance of giving back to customers and society at large cannot be underestimated.
Addressing beneficiaries, the Area Manager of the company, Adwoa Asantewaa said the company prioritizes the health of women, and will continue to empower them not only financially but also improve their well-being.

“We have brought the screening exercise to the doorstep of where they ply their trade, as individuals often neglect their health due to various commitments. We also have free HIV screening for all who attended the event"she noted.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be be part of the initiative.
One of the beneficiaries, Angela Antwi, praised the company for the support and asked for more of such initiatives from the company.
