The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man for severing his friend's hand.
Kofi Richard, popularly known as 'Ofon Nye Owuo' reportedly committed this dastardly act at Millennium City in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The incident occurred 500 meters away from the Central East Regional Police Command at around 6:00 pm.

The deceased, 52-years-old Michael Nkrumah, died before reaching the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital, even though some residents rushed him to the facility.
In an interview with Adom News, an eyewitness, Daavi Afi Semanyo, revealed that she saw Kofi Richard, known as Ofon Nye Owuo, holding a cutlass and running through her house.
Daavi mentioned that after a few minutes, she heard people knocking on "Ofon Nye Owuo's" door before they rushed to his residence, finding the victim on the brink of death.
She added that they don't know what caused the attack.
Meanwhile, Kofi Isaac, a neighbor who took the victim to the hospital alleged that the victim together with a friend assaulted Ofon Nye Owuo about three days ago.
Though he is not privy to the details of what transpired, he suspects this could have been a reprisal attack.
