Joy Sports Editor, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, has been invited by the Bundesliga as part of a select group of journalists from Africa for a five-day working visit of Germany’s top-tier league.
The trip is facilitated by broadcast rights holders of the Bundesliga in Africa, StarTimes.

The programme will also include going behind the scenes at Borussia Park and the BayArena, as well as learning more about the internationalisation strategies of both the league and clubs, in addition to the opportunity to speak with players, executives, and legends.

The journalists will also watch three games in Germany as part of the visit.

On Thursday, December 31, the group will watch the UEFA Europa Conference League game between Eintracht Frankfurt and PAOK of Greece.

They will also meet executives of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, learning more about their history and operations before watching their game with TSG Hoffenheim.

The visit concludes with a visit to the BayArena for the mouthwatering match-up between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
The group will have access to stadium tours and mixed-zone interviews as part of the experience.
The trip also includes other journalists like BBC Africa’s George Addo, Oma Akatugba of Nigeria, Moussavou Billa of Burkina Faso and David Kappel of South Africa.
