The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has expressed his satisfaction with the preparation of Ghana's athletes for the 2023 African Games.
Some of the sporting disciplines started camping last month with 11 of those currently at the Cape Coast Stadium and the University of Cape Coast.
Boxing, arm wrestling, athletics, weightlifting, handball, volleyball and basketball are some of the disciplines that have been in camp since January 19.
Speaking on his visit to the base earlier this week, Ussif said he was delighted with the progress of work ahead of the competition.
"I am so excited and happy about what I have seen. The athletes and officials can testify that this is the first time they are having a long duration of camping in the history of Ghana with improved facilities and conditions of service," he said.
"I came here to ensure they have arrived and they are happy. Both the athletes and officials have indicated they are excited. I am equally happy."
Ghana is expected to participate in all 30 sporting discipline at the games which is set to commence on March 8.
