Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel has opened up the European concept of a sustainability-focused Café and Bakery to walk-in customers and residents of the hotel with a perfect view of the lush palms and water fountain of the luxury 5-star hotel.
Known as the Café George and Bakery, this initiative follows feedback from overwhelming bakery consumers who yearn for fresh bakery items and more hospitable services beyond the hotel environment.
The focus is to continuously enhance the overall culinary experience with plans to expand and diversify the menu, introduce seasonal specials and make it a place where anyone can order fresh breads, pastries, and cakes for birthdays and other celebrations. This commitment aligns with Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel's broader initiative to contribute positively to the environment.
Restaurant Manager for Kempinski, Floriencia Arias, in an interview with Journalists underscored the need to take positive feedback from customers and make conscious efforts to improve the services and add more value to #CafeGeorgeAtKempinski.
“A lot of feedback is coming from our guests who want to feel the fresh environment of a bakery without necessarily staying in the hotel, and that is how the idea of Café George and Bakery came about. We also realized a need for sustainable food production where we don’t entertain food waste in our hotel with an attractive package for the guests. This idea is open to everyone who wants to enjoy in-house or take out and still have the product fresh to enjoy in your house,” she commented.
Director of Sales and Marketing at Kempinski, Melissa Bediako, hinted that the hotel is working on creating more customer food and beverage experiences and forming close partnerships with corporate bodies to improve people's lives in society.
“Our hotel is well known for the rooms and, more recently, our spa and salon services, and we shall continue to offer our guest services and new offerings just like you see here at Café George and Bakery. Our focus will be on guest experience, adding to the high level of service, and creating those memories that people will cherish for a lifetime,” she told Journalists.
Café Goerge and Bakery aligns with the goal of responsible consumption and production.
