The instant messaging app Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday, March 5, went down with lots of users reporting that they have been logged out of their accounts automatically.
Some Facebook and Instagram users are complaining on X, formerly known as Twitter that they are unable to access their accounts making it impossible to send and receive messages.
Lots of people have reacted to the glitch affecting Facebook and Instagram on the micro-blogging site.
According to multiple reports, the apps Facebook and Instagram were hit by a bug that does not allow people to log into their accounts. This bug appeared according to Downdetector with an initial 90,000 reports that it was down but the numbers grew exponentially not long after that.
This is a widespread issue that first appeared on users' devices in the early hours of the United States. However, it has been reported globally to users worldwide.
