Ghanaian artiste based in the United Kingdom, Obofour Raphael, has released a new EP titled ‘Asem Yi Di Ka’.
Obofour who emerged during the hiplife era, takes music lovers back to the days when hiplife was the staple of music genre for Ghanaian music fans.
‘Gye Wo Kawa’ which features vocalist Nana Ama Dadzie and Terry Bonchaka lookalike Awudat, talks about a man who feels so disappointed in his wife's bad attitude that he cannot continue with the marriage but to call it quits. It tackles infidelity and unfaithfulness in marriages.
‘Asem Yi Di Ka’ addresses some of the ills of the music industry, especially those that a lot of people find it difficult to touch on.
Produced by the legendary Zapp Mallet, there is a remix of ‘Asem Yi Di Ka’, and instrumentals for both.
According to Obofour, he has other songs that are a departure from hiplife; he has unreleased songs that even tap into amapiano and other genres.

However, he told myjoyonline.com that he has received great feedback from hiplife enthusiasts since he released the EP.
Obofour Raphael has songs such as Konkonsa ft. XLNC, Obonsam, Kyakya, Woso Wo Ho, Megye Me Sika, among others.
