In a bid to improve its customer experience, Tigo has completed expansion work on its Eastern Microwave backbone.
The project will stabilise and improve Tigo’s network quality and resilience in the Eastern and Volta regions.
Tigo invested $1million into the six-month project which now guarantee high speed internet connectivity, providing a seamless service. Beneficiary cities and towns include Tema, Ho, Akosombo, Hohoe, Aflao and surrounding areas.
The Chief Operations Officer for Tigo, Obafemi Banigbe, promised customers in both the Eastern and Volta regions a remarkable improvement.
“Improving network quality is our biggest priority for 2015 and we are committed to ensuring a reliable and consistent quality that enables customers both consumers and corporate get value for money”, he said.
Over last two years, Tigo has made several investments to its network infrastructure and architecture, particularly in existing cell sites and communities.
