The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), has commended the 2024 flagbearer of the party, John Mahama for his promise to decentralise the small scale mining licensing regime.
Mr Mahama had earlier pledged that this policy when rolled out will provide jobs for students of UMaT.
It is on the back of this, that TEIN is excited that the president has reiterated this promise, describing it as a "brilliant idea".
