Jonathan Tetteh has become the latest Ghanaian to be eliminated in pursuit of a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Tetteh, fighting as the Black Bombers' seventh representative at the ongoing qualifiers in Bangkok, Thailand, suffered defeat to Cuban-born Azerbaijan, Loren Berto.
The Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medallist and 2021 world champion won the round 64, heavyweight contest by a unanimous points decision.
Tetteh's defeat means he becomes the third Ghanaian to be kicked out of the qualifiers following losses to Amadu Mohammed and Mark Kodjovi Ahondjo.
Four Ghanaians are now left in the competition as they continue their chase for a ticket to Paris.
In all, there are 51 Olympic slots available at the Bangkok Qualifier.
No Ghanaian has qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris, despite Ghanaian representation at the 2023 African Qualifiers in Senegal and the 2024 tournament in Busto Arsizio, Italy.
